Car's warranty is coming up in a few months, and I want to get a head start looking into it. I never have bought them in the past, as generally we only put 10,000 miles a year on our cars, and they've generally been pretty good up to when their warranties ran out, so I'd passed on it, as I figured those first 4 years were a sign of how things might go when out of warranty.

This car though has had a few issues, mainly electrical, which can be a nightmare to diagnose and costly to fix, so I thought that maybe getting one might not be a bad idea.

Its diversity module's already been replaced once, and believe it or not, I'm having comfort access issues, so I opened it up, and it has rust on the circuit board! And it has the foam spacers installed too, which are supposed to help prevent water from getting in it.

So does anyone here have any experience with Canadian extended warranties and can provide tips?

Would it cover diversity module issues and tailgate wiring issues, which are the two most likely things that will fail once out of warranty?
