Thanks. Now, how ever, it seems our journey together is ending. I got a nice offer for the car an it should be picked up by it's new owner. The winter weather has really hit the Southwest Finland today, so maybe I'll go for a four wheel drive again..

Shame, don't you have a hard time parting with it already? Time for a 530d/535d X drive perhaps? (assuming both will be available since they gave it to the GT as well)

A little bit yes. The buyer just SMS'd me that he's coming around noon tomorrow. The E61 535d is sadly not available with x-drive.. I'm maybe thinking of something from Audi and the model name is going to start with letter S ...

Well this is strange after the 535d.. I'm now driving An Opel / Vauxhall Corsa, which my wife wanted us to buy.. It's equipped with a gigantic 1.0l engine.. Hopefully this is just temporary..

I was hinting at a future F11 actually (rumor has 09/2011 as market date) , but on the bright side: the Corsa will make your new car even more of a godsend!

I thought it was bad enough me going from an E61 to an E60, but you're thinking about an Audi -- how could you?!
Joking aside, I can understand where you are coming from. When I changed to the V8, I also seriously considered an AMG E55s or the S6. I do not need 4wd (apart from today ), but when I weighed it all up and the E60 was still my absolute favourite. I simply found the other 2 options a little too bland compared to the E60. The RS6 really looks the part, but you're then into M5 territory (including the prices that come with it!). However, if you say you want a 4WD, then the S6 starts to make a lot of sense. You'll obviously see your fuel economy go through the roof with a V8/V10 AWD S6, but I'm guessing that's not a priority As I said, I just found the car too understated for a "Sports" version, however that's just personal opinion and no doubt something you can enhance.
Shame to see such a fantastic car go. It was one of my favourites; the colour, m-sport, black trim/grills, drop and choice of BBS 20s simply complimented each other perfectly Congrats on the sale and good luck with your search -- keep us informed and don't become a stranger around here

That makes two of us, sadly... Never hurts to try to experience ones automotive dreams by proxy though
