HELLO EVERYBODY!

Once again have to thank you people for this forum...unbelievable amount of knowledge...
This is my first BMW and I?m extremely satisfyed with the car. I?m really glad my mate changed my mind from AUDI A6 3.0 TDI quattro! It was close though, almost ordered

Now after spending two months time (all the evenings ) I?m planning to do some mods for next summer...

Wheels, suspension(coilovers front and programming the back) and something small like M pedals etc. The possible drop would be minimum. Same level than the OEM M-sport suspension, which is unfortunately unavailable for X-models

I?ve been now browsing the forums and finding information about the wheels. My wheels will be compromise of looks and performance so the size is 19" and I'm considering staggered setup 245/35 and 275/30.
This moment I have three choises: BBS LM champion edition, VMR CSL replica and Miro 167 replicas
After seen member HOONs beautiful car with BBS, I think I?m going to spend a lot of money.

Before I start mailing the vendors I have a question. What would be the ideal ET for my X-model?
I remember C?s Bimmer mentioning in some topic using spacers with VMR vb3...so can I have something like ET 35 front and 33 back without rubbing? I wont start rolling the fenders. I?m planning to get good wheels which fit perfectly without rubbing or vibration issues.
Are they going to stay too much "inside" the fender with ET43?

Then with the staggered wheels. Are those wider rear tires going to affect the ride. Does anyone have any real experiences with the consumption or any other issues.
I?m balancing between having all tires 245 or to go with the staggered 245/275 set up... With X-drive the grip will be good anyway, so thats not the reason to get 275 rear tires.

Looking forward for your opinions

Here are some pics of the ride.

Nice ride!!! Congrats!!!

Here are the side pics of my xi http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...st&p=542355.

Maybe I'm wrong but you might want to check that you can run staggered on the touring, if I recall correctly the rear suspension may prevent staggered setup but forgot if it apply to E61 X-drive family or not.

What does "staggered" mean? Staggered means that the fronts are a diff size than the back. i.e 245s up frt. 275s inthe back.

Penso que seja por ter medidas diferentes as jantes da frente e de tr?s.

What is a staggered fitment?

A staggered fitment is also referred to as a staggered application. Basically, it means that the wheels on the back of the vehicle are a different size than those on the front. Wider wheels are usually run on the back; for example, 19x8 on the front and 19x9.5 on the rear
