Dave, your ride looks great -- I think you've used all the space available under the arches

Pigapumbu, with 10mm spacers, or 15mm like mine, your M172s will fill out the arches just nicely. Andy545 had 10mm spacers on his in combination with the M172s and I thought it looked spot on. As a side note, rims somehow look larger on the Touring -- my 19" 128s look larger on my Touring than they did on my previous E60. Not sure why, they just do
Thanks for that info.

Did check out all his posts and finally caught a glimps of his car with the 172+spacers. Must say, his car with the 167M looks a hundred times better and my car is almost similar in colour. I will do some reading about spacers. Seem to have an idea they aren't good for the car interms of stress. I could be wrong. Maybe for town use it may be fine but track, I have no idea if its advisable or not.

cheers

Car is looking great. The 20" wheels do look really nice. Fills the arch out well. I hate my 172s for two reasons. A real bugger to clean and it doesn't seem to fill the wheel arch as much as I would like it too. Seems likes its too inside the wheel arch.

Anyway IMO, your car is stunning. Have you ever considered what it would be like without the roof rack on top?

cheers

ps; Here is a picture of my rims. See what I mean. don't these 19" look incredibly small for the car?

They look just fine in my opinion, I got the same on my M-Tech 525i SLE, In my country lack of roads is a no no for rims any bigger! I mean I've seen 5'ers at the BMW dealer with 16" & 17" rims

H&R springs -35mm at the front and 15mm at the rear.
It's 15mm lower then with a M-tech suspension.

I would l to know the H&R part number you used to lower the front. The one's I've attempted to have installed do not work and HN&R says it's the only application they make. I have an 08 535xi wagon, with stock, not M sport suspension so not sure if any of that makes a difference.

Please let me know and thank you!!

Dave,

Love those type III's. I am about to sell a set of type IV 19" (non racing) that I had on my E46 vert. Having seen your car on the III's this is what I am going to be looking for now.

Thanks for helping me make my mind up.

VERY

I love the look of our cars without the front number plate -- I just don't think you'd get away with leaving them off over here in Europe.

p.s. weren't you selling those rims?
