It just happened today, about 80 degrees so i turned on the ac and nothing happened, it was just fine yesterday but today nothing, no wind, no blower noise, nothing. I checked all fuses pertaining to AC system and fan control and they are fine. I tried auto and manual control and still nothing. Car just ran out of warranty so any light that you guys can shed on this matter would greatly be appreciated.
TIA

If all the fuses are fine, it just might be a dealer issue. If you can find a Midas or another independent shop that will do a free AC check that might help also.

this was the classic sign of a final stage resistor gone bad in the E39s. it controls the blower. not necessarily a dealer job, if you can get to it. not sure where it is on the E60s, on the E39 it was under the passenger side of the dash.

part #2 in this diagram

judging from the other schematics on realoem it seems to be in the same place it was on the E39.
