More Self Leveling Suspension Woes
Hi there one and all,
I have a different issue than what I have seen mentioned in the forums. My issue is a high signal to the pressure release valve. I am now rather stumped as to how to investigate this so any help would be appreciated.
The compressor seems to be okay as when this fault is not present, it operates as normal. The car isn't sat mega low etc.
Car is a 530d on a 54 plate.
Thanks for any advise

Sorry, can't help you, but am wondering what do all these "54 plate" things stand for? All the English guys seem to post about them. Isn't the model and year and mileage enough for us to help?

Exact details taken from the error code:
Error 5F96 - Level Control Air Release Valve - Signal Too High
Can anybody shed some light onto this error and how best to go about fixing it?
Many thanks

I'm just throwing a wild guess out but I would start with checking the air filter for the pump. It's located to the back of the right rear wheel housing behind the liner.
