When putting M6 (or M5) rims on an E61 do you need to use spacers? When I purchased my M166s (M5 rims) they also offered them for the Touring but with 10mm spacers

Is BMW planning to offer 19s with the LCI models, for example the M172s with the M-Sport pack. They offer 19s with the new M5 Touring, so assume they must have done something to the rear axle to get them to fit?

I have M6 wheels with no problems. With spacers i think that i will face rubbing issues because my car is lowered.

Is your car??? I like the front M-bumper with fogs deleted.
thats an original M5 front bumper cover. Once again, if you have good body shop, it can be alligned like this one perfectly.
its only 1cm from each side thats 10mm only.

I think that i saw your car in Carcavelos, Oeiras. On your license plate does it have the letters CG? I work at Sassoeiros, so i guess it is easy to meet us.

There are a number of posts discussing the validity of non-BMW approved wheel fitments for the E61. BMW disapprove of anything other than the same wheel front and rear (eg 18x8ET20 all round, and not the 18x9ET32) and also the 19" options offered for the E60.
All the BMW tuners offer larger wheels, so it's clearly not a clearance issue to do with the self levelling suspension, so is it because of the load ratings differing from those stated for the vehicle. In this case, I would assume that the gutachten for the tuner wheels would necessitate a modification to the load rating plate or some other way to notify the vehicle owner?

I was told that tuner wheels (supplied under TUV) come with a revised load table to be stuck into the owner's handbook.

Mind you, considering the rubbish that I was also told about wheels for e39 and e61 tourers (by people that should have known better) it is not surprising that confusion exists.

Oops yeah, did not notice that , nice choice btw; it looks great
OK, that Carbon Black one looks good enough to make me want to do this to mine now that its almost time to put the gumballs back on.

The factory offset for my 530xiT if 43MM on 8 inch wide 135 M rims. Does anyone know if a 40mm 9.5 inch wide rim will fit? There is also a 38mm 9 inch wide rim available. Bolt pattern is correct and it seems BMW has standardized the hub/axle size (the old e39's had a different hole size so many rims wouldn't fit).
