Lucky Me!

My wife's 1500 mile, 2007 530XIT died about a month ago due to 5 inches of water in the battery/circuit board area. The cause was a faulty sunroof drain. The water fried the harness and most of the components connected to it. Long story short, BMW NA decided to give us a replacement vehicle at the same lease rate. So we'll be picking up her replacement 2008 535XIT on Saturday. I also have a 2007 530XIT, which so far has had no leaks but I'm still hopeful!

I think that is only fair! All trouble they have cost to You!
I just hope that it would work like that in Finland too! First what they would say is that it's my fault and BMW have no responsible of anykind. Maybe they profit is so small that they "die" if they have to pay something extra.
I start to fail my trust to BMW Finland.

P.S. I picked the replacement 535XIT today and it's SUPER!!!! Much better power delivery than with the old 530XIT. Feels more like a V8 than a inline 6. The new car rides a bit better too. I wonder if they've tweaked the suspension at bit. I suspect the only downside would be gas mileage. The old car averaged about 27 mpg, which I think is pretty good for a fairly heavy vehicle with AWD.

Did the dealer at least supply you with a BMW loaner car?
