Hi.
Here are few things that you should check:
- MAF like tume said earlier --> you can disconnect the plug that goes into a MAF sensor and try if it helps any. Remember to plug it back again after a test drive.
- Vacuum hoses --> Check all thin vacuum hoses in the engine compartment. These tend to brittle during time.
- Turbo hoses --> Check all charged air tubes. There might be a leak.
- Do you have a DPF (diesel particulate filter) in your car? You can tell this by checking the idrive/services folder. If you can see a "particulte filter" in there, you have it.
If you have the DPF, it might be blocked. Get the error codes read and if there's a mention about a clogged DPF, you can buy a new one (approx. 1500? ), or remove it and wash it and then put it back, or you can remove it completely (the car must be reprogrammed in this case). I prefer the washing method if you have the DPF and if it is the reason. You can't conclude ANYTHING about the kms shown in the idrive for the DPF. Read this: https://5series.net/forums/topic/947...e-for-the-dpf/
I can help you with the DPF if it seems to be a problem, just PM me .

I would go with Anzafin suggestion and clean the DPF first and then clean out the EGR valve, this seems to clog up too over time and mileage with a diesel.

Had to take it in to the garage, I could not find anything wrong..
They checked it out and it seams the turbo is gone..
So much for a quick fix
Thanks for your help anyway, it was worth a try..
