Thumbs up

Do you know what could it be? The pump is new (at least my dealer says it is) so there should be no problem. The dealer said it needs reprogramming, it is true or is it a BS?

... you mean they changed the pump and didn't reprogram the car?

My car (September 2004) got a new pump installed last month. The pump is the new, improved version.

It worked right away without any reprogramming and without any error messages. The car also did not need a new relais or a "controller" to commnicate with the pump, contrary to some posts here in the forum.

I don't know they are supposed to but they didn't if this is the case. I will go to the dealer this Friday.

OK

Does it make sound when you turn on the car or turn off and step out? I can hear a pneumatic noise (not hissing like before). I'm not sure it was present when I got the car a year ago.

Also had a compressor replaced by an independant garage about 8 weeks ago. All works fine with no reprogramming needed.

Hope this helps.

Hi!

What was the cost of replacing the compressor? My dealer told that a new compressor would cost itself some ?800...

Cheers,
Fredrik

Am still awaiting the bill but was quoted 550 euros plus TVA (19.6%) plus fitting etc.

800 euros is probably not too far off the mark.

Hello!

I had a compressor replacement two weeks ago.
At the dealer here in Norway this totalled to 11.500 NOK, which is about 1350 Euro...

Norway is expensive...
