Well, I'm chuffed that following some to-ing and fro-ing, I got an acknowledgment that my order is placed with the dealer today and my new baby will be here on 7th July to coincide with the expiration of the lease on my Volvo.

So, 3 months to go before I join you lucky so-and-so's in my E61 - can't wait!

Just got to find something to do now to occupy my mind for 89 days....

Congratulations!
Mine came 1 month earlier than expected - you may not have to wait until July!
Go for comfort seats they're great!

I don't understand. I ordered my 530d Touring last week (week 17) and the car is confirmed to be delivered on june 1st! Meanwhile I got an 525i from the dealer to "get the feeling". Is there difference in the delivery time per country? I'm living in Holland. By the way: my former car was an Volvo S80 T6 (2001) and really, I got an extremely attractive trade-in price for it!

Welcome aboard, BMWLover.
There are differences.

I had to wait four months on my 545iA... I'm living four hours away from the plant...

welcome to this forum and the E60/61 community; there are some dutch E61 owners here (garehaan, myself) so feel free to ask... and perhaps learn

each dealer has his own allocations. sometime (bigger) dealerships also have cars in the "pipeline" which they can change - on the fly - for custom fitting. Your car was probably a car from the pipeline.

Hiya,

Please don't take my delivery time and compare it with yours as my timing relates completely to my empoyer and his lease contracts with the suppliers.

So, it takes a long time for me to get my request authorised, processed through the company, out to the broker, to the leasing company who order it from the dealer etc etc..

Just as an aside I started early because my local dealer in UK told me to be prepared for a minimum 12 week wait for an E61.

Regards
Andy - Newport, Shropshire

ps - My S80 does seem to be getting older and less comfortable with each day!
