....and I'm very happy!

Wanted to stop by and say hi - I will be around.

Bought this as the new family wagon. 55 plate, black. low mileage. Panoramic roof, all the toys. I am in love with it.

Had always read that it does everything you could need of a car and ain't that the truth. Astoundingly fast for a diesel wagon - nearly as pokey as my RB5 Impreza - but also so insulating.

Got one issue with weird central locking failure. It works if I open it with the key in the lock, but on and off from the fob - is that a fuse issue? Where do I get a fuse map?

Thanks

Welcome to the boards,

Nice choice of car!

Try going to Page 200 of this PDF.

It says there's details in the load area underneath the trim.

Hope this helps.

Enjoy the car

Hi,

Assume you mean the fob buttons don't always lock / unlock the car ?
If so, it could well be moisture inside the module which is under the spoiler on the tailgate glass.
BMW will want iirc ?450 ish for a module, but to start with you could disassemble, check for moisture and check seals etc..
Mine does it from time to time, but sorts itself out.

I had this problem on my touring.. wireing broken.. perhaps of moisture, fixed that and everything works perfect!

Thanks for all that advice guys. I'll check it out at the weekend and hope that I can fix the issue. Sounds like it will be the moisture as it tends to clear up after a long journey.

And, yes, will post pics when I get a chance.

Welcome to the forum I had the same problem with my central lock system. It ended up being a broken wire right beside the right side tail gate hinge. Good luck!
