Jacking up the wagon.
Bought my e61 and previous owner don't have owners manual inside glove box. Going to change out the wheels on my car. Do you guys/gals suggest disconnecting the batteries before jacking up the car?

No. What are you concerned about? Like every time you change from summers to winters, disconnect the battery?
I have a 2010 Lincoln Navigator, and every time I change winter set to summer set, or change brake pads, its always recommended to turn off the air suspension system before jacking it up.
My concern is popping or over inflating the airbags for the rear suspension.

Hmmm... I am hoping that (I only jack the car up twice for all 4 wheels - one side at a time - using the rear jack pad, I can get both the rear and front wheels on that side off the ground, hence saving me jacking up the car 4 times) since it's only for a half hour per side, it's not a big deal.
When I do turn the car on, I do notice that it starts working, so it might have compressed some air out, but hasn't been an issue over a few years so far (crossing fingers!)
And you're shifting only some of the weight to the other side. You're still bearing quite a bit of weight on the jack.

I mean the doors are unlocked and the alarm deactivated. Otherwise the car will sense a difference in Ievel, will think it's being stolen and trigger the alarm.
I've never had issues with the air suspension after jacking, I can only presume there's a safety to prevent any damage.

Yeah, but he's not talking about lifting the whole car... He's talking about jacking up one side yourself while the other side is still on the ground, hence his worry about pressure on the other side's air springs. But as I said, if you think about it, it's not like 4000 pounds is sitting on one rear air spring. One side of the car is still on two wheels, and the other side is most supported with the jack, so it's paranoia worring about it IMO.
