Hi Everyone.

The Problem: I own a 530d MSport Estate 2005 (UK) With Idrive, Sat Nav/Bluetooth etc.
Over the last couple of weeks i have noticed that the sound whilst listening to a CD has stopped for a few seconds. Now my whole IDrive system has just crashed, in other words i have no cd, sat nav, phone anything all i have displayed is the IDrive menu, though i am now unable to select any of the menu's (Managed to get the car booked into a BMW garage tomorrow Worcester)

Can anybody help me with this before i find myself with a large bill...
Ideas please would be appreciated.

Regards
Scott Mardell

Give it the three finger salute to force a reboot - press down the volume knob, CD eject and DVD eject buttons.

Ours did something similar a while back and we got nothing on the screen. Luckily, the car was still under warranty at the time and, I think, we got updated software.
