How to replace the micro switch E61

Model Year: 2006
I assume if changing the switch doesn't fix the problem, I've got some sort of tailgate window harness wiring issue correct? I can code both the keys and the outside tailgate switch to open the window, but nothing doing with the window [micro] switch itself...
