Congrats on the new ride -- looks great!

I think you're the first with panda fur here in the forum

Its always great to learn stuff about different countries; I assumed your car was one of the early non-DPF models from a few years back with the tailpipes pointing down , but its a brand new Russia spec car!

Enjoy...
THX! actually, I don't think, that it's kinda "earlynonDPFmodels"... it's restyled body, made at Aug.07, so, this time, as I think, all models were definitely equipped by this filter... To my opinion, it is more bad thing - they have no official need to install it for Russia, coz we have no law, which would oblige car makers to do this... we have our own lobby of oil-companies, which interested in reducing charges for keepin' producing low-quality fuel... so, car-makers just preserve their products from damage & guarantee cases' looses for engine fixin'

Hi there,

Congrats on your new ride. Beautiful.
Is it a 530d?
Unbelievable that BMW is still selling diesel cars without DPF.
Actually why is the DPF such a great thing? The more we add between the exhaust manifold to the rear pipes, the worse it is for performance. Well turbos being an exception to the rule I guess.... and two the merrier!! hahaha. I guess I have to go read up of DPF and its uses.

I just hope its not another damn Green issue. Really bothers me when the green lovers put one over the majority rule.

cheers

ps; nice car 7green. Love the seats. I wonder if there are any pandas here in UK.

hi there! agree with you - as to my opinion, the worst thing of DPF-free bimmer is boring & weak-looking exhaust - coz, as you know, only thing, which's kept by DPF is small parts of carbon black, not CO/CO2 "pandas'" furs make impression to all passengers - as usual they start to ask absoutely serious - WHERE DID YOU GET IT!?!? How much did it cost?? Definitely, I should add there some white spots to avoid future misunderstanding about furs' source ))))
