I get a message stating "no response from control unit" after going to single axle air suspension when I read the error codes I have a3c7 -- INSTR.CLUSTER: No message from Ride-Height Control(EHC), so is that the problem?

Well, that looks to implicate the controller or its wiring rather than the relays you had mentioned. Before I go swapping modules, I always check the wiring and connectors for continuity, corrosion issues, and power on the pins at the module.

However, you may be able to save yourself some time and money. These cars were known to have sunroof drain clogging issues that led to flooding of the spare tire well where several compute modules were located, including the EHC module, IIRC. BMW recently started performing free repairs and relocating affected modules. In fact, I just had mine done. If you haven’t had a dealer do this already, now may be the perfect time.

More information here

Thanks for all the help but mine is a 2008 and it has 129k so I think I'm out of luck, during the bag and compressor replacement I also did the relocation of all the modules because there was water in there, not a lot as we get very little rain here. I also drilled some small drain holes at the bottom of the spare tire compartment, I checked prior to drilling that nothing was on the back side. I also ordered the new module once this is fixed I would like to set ride height but that's a different thread lol I really appreciate you helping me!

Nice work! Did it take any coding? And did you have to level in manually with INPA? Or did it just work right out of the box?

right out of the box as soon as I plugged in the module! I also ordered the the harness with the three relays in it, I might as well replace that also. It pretty cool system my two grown kids came over and they sat in the back and the compressor turned on and leveled her out, then when they got out she went back down lol.

I have a quick question about rear suspension, lets say if one disables air suspension, will the suspension collapse to the point that the rear end sits lower than front end? I don't have an issue in particular, but while I am trying to fix another issue, I left the battery disconnected for many days and the rear is sitting as shown in the picture, is this normal or my rear struts have seen better days?
