Just joined the Forum and am hoping to find out some things about my (fairly recent) purchase.
I found her in the midlands (UK), a fine example, i hope you will agree, of an M5 Touring (circa 2007, picture attached (i think))

On to the question:
I have been looking for a month or two now for a company (or trusted individual) in the UK who can perform the CIC computer retrofit.

A couple of places mention Cartronics (www.cartronics.co.uk) and while i have no problem spending the money to have it done professionally I would dearly love to hear from people who have had this done to tell me what i should look out for. Also if you have used these people before were they any good?

I'm all for the upgrade but the Telematics functionality seems to be a grey area(?) i.e. what happens to the bmw assist/connected drive features during and after the upgrade?

I had hoped i could take it to BMW and get them to do it but no such luck (and even if they would i am sure it would have been many moons to pay it off!)

Any help appreciated and thanks in advance!
