Hatch Soft Close Issue - I've tried everything!

My Ride: E61 535xi Titansilber Metallic

Bought my 09 E61 for a good price because the tailgate is broken. I'm at a loss trying to fix it
Here's what I've replaced:
- white soft close relay
- salmon-red color relay
- soft close motor
- power strut

I had a similar issue on my 08 E61, and I found that the latch portion mounted on the door itself was slightly loose and needed to be tightened. It also seems to be adjustable, so maybe take a look at that.

I'd also suggest looking in the KBM coding. There is an entry to enable soft close (SCA_HECKKLAPPE) that should be set to Aktiv. I similarly chased wiring only to find I had accidentally flipped that off.
