Halo lights on while driving?

Hey guys and gals. i have a question. I have a 2006 530xi wagon and I want the halos to be on as my daytime running lights. Dealer is telling me that it can't be done? I have seen plenty of 5's driving around with the halos on... Anyone know how I can do this or get it done?

Since you have a pre-LCI model, your DRL's are the inner bulbs, you need to have those disabled (via dealer programming) first. AFAIK, you cannot program the halo's to be your DRL's. Perhaps someone can retrofit this function tho (brabus or nigxdof, where you at?
)on LCI models (2008+) the Halo's function as DRL's so the parking lights do not need to be turned on for the Halo's to shine.
