I have also thought about similar "downsizing".

Maybe this is right time to begin selling E61...

Congrats on the new car. I went the opposite direction during Christmas holidays. I went from 2008 E90 335xi to 2006 M5. I won't the 335 is great in the city but the M5 is a beast on the highway.

M5 is a beast on the highway it is sure and a superior ride too.
I think also you dont need to worry about ice and snow on the roads..
