Hi Guys,

after having enjoyed nearly 2 years of driving my 530D, I have decided to move on. Have had loads of trouble with the diesel particulate filter which has cost me a lot of nerves and time. Sometimes I felt let down by BMW in the sense that this technology is not ready for prime-time when doing lots of city driving. Anyway, after having sold my car, I went back and forth a couple of times not being able to decide what to buy - a new 335D e92 (white with coral red) was something that I ordered and then cancelled the next day, then I looked at the new x5 but after having driven my dad's new car, I just did not find it to be the right car for me, and then finally i thought of getting a new 535D E60 with SAT. At the end, I bumped on a deal in germany which was just too sweet to be true. the colour combination was perfect, the list of extras just awesome and financially it was just too nice to be true... So with 28 I am driving my first station wagen, and NO, g/f is not pregnant What speaks for the station wagen is the panoroma roof, the automatic boot opener and the fact that when i do triathlons, i can put my bike at the back of the car without unmounting wheels - my bike is just as holy as my car

so here are some pix:
old car: www.syed.at/e60
new car: www.syed.at/e61

What i love about the car:
* automatic transmission
* logic 7 - wow wow wow
* panorama roof
* 272hp - pooooooooooooower
* HUD - fun thing specially with nav on
* interior colour

so let me know what you guys think....

Congrats!!

what an awesome looking combo -- and those M167s fit the whole car just right
Did you have spacers put on with those, or are the ET values ok on M167s?

thank you guys.

They are 167 with ET 17 and an additional 3 mm spacers

No rubbing at all since the car lifts itself automatically everytime someone sits at the back - i guess it is the feature of the tow bar...

something i wouldnt do personall,
a couple of years ago, i would have also thought so but considering the fact that the touring is slightly slower than a sedan, it really does not cost you much except the little bit of loss in handling due to a different center of gravity. but with 19", sports suspension and active steering, handling is more than enough for the city driving....

ah ja, the best best best thing on this car is something as cheap is EUR 75 - the stupid cupholders. god, i missed those for two years on my old car...
