Default Fuel Pump Fault

Hello

When I start my car in the morning it gives such an error. turns off after about 20 seconds. When I turn the car off and start it up again, the same thing happens. After driving the car for 5 minutes, when I turn off the car and start it again, it does not give an error. Also, there is no problem with the car. it's going pretty well.

And the car is losing oil. About 1 month ago the oil gauge was on the 3rd line on the iDrive screen, now there are 2 lines left. It shows 3 months or 14000 km before maintenance. No oil stains on the floor. is this normal ?

You'll need to read the codes to figure out what may be the problem. With your diesel - you may have more than one fuel pump. On my N54 - there are two. Problems could be with fuel pressure sensors, the electric control modules, or the pump themselves. Reading codes will tell you where to start your diagnosis. On the oil loss - you can lose oil and have it trapped by the underbody fairings - you may not see anything on the driveway, or lose oil through valve seals / or through interconnection to other systems, like the cooling system through bad gaskets such as the oil filter housing gasket. Check to see that your coolant is clean. You'll need to do some troubleshooting, but even with the loss of a litre of oil between oil changes there may not be anything signficant wrong with the engine. Good luck - let us know how it goes.
