As I mentioned in another post, its difficult changing from my winter set-up, the 19" OEM 128s, too my 19" summer rims because the 128s just make everything else look small. But its been a few days now and I'm really loving my new OEM 19" M172 rims I have 15mm H&R spacers on the back.

The car had a layer of dust, but the rims were still pretty clean. The location and weather was just too good to wait until the car gets cleaned!
I hope you enjoy the pics...

Thanks Mike.

Having seen lots of incredible pics here in the forum over the years, I also try to find good locations, be aware of the back ground and be a little 2arty"... but it takes me about 40 pics for these few nice ones above

The danish registration tax is 180%. Simply put it means that a car that costs 100.000 DKK ($17.000) tax-free will cost 280.000 DKK ($49.000) + VAT(25%) with danish plates. A fully loaded 5-series could easily cost 1.0 - 1.5 million DKK!!($175.000 - 262.000)

I'm happy that I live in Sweden now!!

I'm on an expat deal, so I have the "luxuary" of paying the tax in quarterly installments... naturally with a tax on top of that for paying quarterly The total import tax (180%) due on my car is a little over EUR 45.000, which is on top of the EUR 23.000 I paid for it in Germany (excl. wheels). That would make my almost 4 year old 100.000km E61 have a current USED CAR VALUE in Denmark of almost EUR 60.000 / $78.000
The payment scheme I have is ok, because in theory I will not be here long enough to pay anywhere near the full amount and should also get a partial refund when I leave... yeah right! The tax office has one person there who works part-time to cover these private car imports... that says it all.

With the exception of the SUVs with the rear seats removed registered here on yellow plates as "commercial vehicles" for a fraction of the full tax, e.g. Porsche Cayenne Turbos, most of the high-end cars you see in Copenhagen are from across the bridge in Malmo, Sweden.
