On a lot of threads regarding the panoramic sunroof option people mention the "extended lights" package. What the heck is this ? I've selected the panoramic roof for my new LCI E61 but the dealer didn't mention extended lights nor did I see any such option on the listings for the car when I ordered it.
What are "extended lights" and, if I haven't ordered them with my car, can I retro-fit them ?
Thanks for any help.

Option 563:
Exterior: In outside mirrors to light up step-in area around doors..
Interior: Lights in footwells, door handles, door pockets, rear doors, extended lighting in cargo bay.
Don't know if it's possible to retrofit..

Footwell lights, cargo bay are easy to retrofit. I've done it, look in the DIY section. The rest of them require the LED lights and opening the door panels which I didn't bother.
