The NGKs use a different material and once gapped the electrodes are much closer together.

I purchased some BNIB oem units from a forum member on E90post, $750 shipped. A very good deal for oem index 12 but still expensive IMO. If you are on a budget I know some people refurbish

great car you have, what size rims are you running?

If you are stock or mildly tuned there may not be a noticeable difference between plugs, the NGKs are known to handle high HP levels better, like 500, 600, and 700+whp applications.
That being said my Bosch plugs were performing very well at 550awhp but I trust my sources who praise the NGKs. If you go with them make sure they are gapped correctly. Also keep in mind they will need to be replaced with greater frequency.

Thanks for the advise Evan. I am barely pushing ~410 HP with my mods. Should I gap them to the same you did?
Greater frequency...does that mean 10k-15k miles instead of 20k?

10-15k mile interval would be about right but it depends on how hard your car is driven. If you go with NGKs gapping to .22 is required, so yes, follow in the footsteps of those who have proven this setup.
