Default ECOTUNE Group Buy Whopping 20% off.

Dear BMW Folks,

Further to my recent 535d 2010 E61 purchase (see https://5series.net/forums/e61-touri...ouring-132233/)

I have spoken to Stan Ward (Technical Director) of EcoTune has agreed to a whopping 20% of a group order of 10 or more orders.

I am after the iFlash for my BMW 535d 2010 E61, especially as BMW have confirmed in writing that "The modifications you would like to have carried out (1. replace RFT; 2. Eco-Tune REMAP) will not automatically void the warranty. However, should a warrantable issue arise with your vehicle and the cause can be attributed to the modifications you mention, the necessary repair work will not be covered."

If we can get 10 or more members interested, I will approcah Stan for the 20% 5Series.net group discount. Here's a link to the iFlash Ecotune - economy tuning and performance tuning for cars and commercial vehicles, ecu remap, custom mapping, economy improvement - Ecotune UK Ltd

I particularly like the facility to have THREE MAPS available (1. Factory; 2. Performance; 3. Economy). Thus with the 20% discount it comes out to circa £500

As Stan states " If you have ignition lights, you can flash the car, it’s as simple as that."

Just post a response on the forum or PM me and I will coordinate this purchase.

Regards

ANDREW

Hi

New to this site and 535d ownership... interested in this.... does this include dpf delete?

I have a pre-lci model with 75k so would be interested in he eco map as opposed to the power map...do ecotune do a map that sits inside the tolderance of the pre-lci gearbox?

Many thanks

James

Dear James

Just had an email back from Stan (as he is not a member of this forum), and the good news is that the 20% applies to DPF removal as well - EXCELLENT!

Hi Andrew

Thanks for following up on that - maybe worth putting this post on the E60 section too - the touring section might not reach everyone?

I'd need to find out the complete price for DPF delete and ecotune flash/module etc inclusive of VAT etc - and whether this is a fitted price? I'm in the US for the next 5 weeks but when I get back I'll probably give ecotune a call to get the confidence that pre-lci gearbox tolerances won't be exceeded etc...

Cheers

James

I'd be interested too.

The link shows a price of 449 GBP? Is that with/without tax and delivery?

How safe are these to use?

I spoke with Roy at CA International - he has a similar product but says to be wary of the chip tuning boxes etc.
From the sounds of the iFlash info, it seems to be the same as what CA can do.

Cheers

James (but a different one to the above)

Dear James

If you drop Stan of EcoTune an email, he will respond. Keep the group advised of what you think.

My Ride: e61 535d LCi mSport, DPF removed, ECOtune remapped
Default

Mine was Ecotune'd last year on my 535d LCI.
I did all the work myself, getting the DPF off was a pain as i did it the long way round by removing the turbo and inlet assembly. Anyway I put mine on a rolling road 2 months ago and had and average of 365bhp and 560lb/ft (flywheel) in 4th gear, it was tricky as the LCI gearbox will change up as you hit the red line messing up the results. I also asked Stan to program out the EGR warning and blanked off the vacuum pipe to it.

Good luck with the conversions folks, it is worth every penny
