E61 Roller Sunblind fitting instructions
Hi, this is my first post on this forum after purchasing my UK 2005 535D Touring in Carbon Black with 19" Spider wheels. (Post pics later)
In the mean time I have bought some OEM roller sunblinds for a very small amount of money (both sides rear doors) however there are no fittng instructions apart from the schematic from BMW as attached.

Can anyone help?

I don't have any instructions but I assume you also purchased the new door cards that accomodate roller blind unit. The blind is attached to this first and then you fit the card to the door. The smaller triangular blind fits to the A-pillar in the window. I guess the blind hooks (item 7) clip onto certain points of the door inner window trim but hopefully you do not need new door trims too.
These blinds are factory fitted to my car, if you want pics of the finished item, I can post. They are very nice for rear passengers (the kids) but they look like a pain to retrofit and so I understand why they were a £300 option when the car was ordered.

You cannot just fit these blinds "as is" into a vehicle which was not factory equipped with them. Given that your posting was from May 5, 2011 I'm going to assume you've figured that out by now. The door panels on a vehicle with this feature are different than one without. At this, they can be purchased only as a replacement part for a broken item.
