I though I would share some of the changes I've made to my E61. I started by replacing the tension arm bushings. I also installed H&R front springs and leveled the rears. I installed a set of Hawk PC front pads with stock rotors. I wanted to eliminate the caliper flex under hard braking by replace the stock rubber caliper pin sleeves with brass ones. I decided to make them because no one offered them for the E60/61. Last but not least I installed a set of BBS CH wheels.

Let me know what you think.

Nice! Got to ask few questions.. Are those H&R's -35mm? Also what are the wheel specs. (ET, width and size) and what are the tire sizes?

The H&R springs I'm using are -35mm. For the wheel specs - The fronts are 19 x 8.5 (482.6mm x 215.9mm) The rears are 19 x 10 (482.6mm x 254mm)

The tire specs - Front 245/35/19 - Rear 275/30/19

So how did you solve the rear end lowering? Also Did you figure out the issues with the Roll bars?

I adjusted the rear ride height with an Autologic scan tool.

With regards to the sway bars, I found that the rear E60 M5 and the E63 M6 will fit on the E61. The front bar is not a direct bolt in unit. There are a few changes needed in order to fit the bar. Once I complete the install I'll post my test results.

What changes did you notice after replacing the tension strut bushings?

What I noticed after replacing the tension arm bushing was it took a little more steering effort to turn the wheel.

The BBS CH is a very nice rim and looks great on the Touring, especially with the H&R drop

The rear off-set looks very aggressive in the picture. What ET value do you have on the rear? Is the wheel sticking out much at the rear or is that just the angle of the photo? I haven't seen them like that on an E61 before.

The ET value on the rear wheels are 20mm. The wheel sticks out about 15mm. I had to make some changes to get the wheel further into the body. When I was doing my research on wheel specs, I used an E60 as the temp plate. I wasn?t able to find E61 specs on wheeltrack. Much to my surprise there is a difference between the E60 and E61. It?s all corrected now.
