E61 LCI 525d rear muffler restriction
Hi,
I have noticed that the left muffler outlet emits a lot less exhaust than the right. It appears that E61s with other engines have a vacuum-operated actuator that keeps the left outlet closed below 2.500 or 3.500 RPM. I cannot find such an actuator on my E61 525d LCI, so I am curious if there are other restrictions in the left outlet. After removing the DPF, the sound is a bit funny when standing directly behind the car.
Thanks,
Stan
