e61 front passenger under floor footwell noise/activity
#1
picked up the new motor and the wife said she could feel some movement on her feet in the passenger footwell at odd times.
i heard something when hearing out for it. quick look underneath i found a couple of pennies on the seat rails thinking it was that. that was cleared and then she said odd occasions she could still feel and hear something.
so swap seats
doesn't happen all the time, maybe more when turning corners, roundabouts. It doesn't look like there is a trap door/ cubby hole under the carpet, as it feels and sounds like something rolling under the foot in the passenger footwell. not always noticeable, faint, but definitely some noise, activity movement.
Any thoughts?

I haven't owned mine long enough, nor poked around underneath enough, to make a qualified suggestion, however, just a thought; what's mounted on the other side of the bulkhead? Could it be steering rack related if you feeling it more when cornering?

if you move the front seat as much forward as possible and look under it from behind, you will see where the ducts end. that's where the objects have most probably entered.
not sure how to find them and get them out, but I guess some surgical equipment might come in quite handy. failing that, removing the seat and the carpeting will give you access to the ducts.
