Well I am having quite the same choice to make.

1. A new E91 520d M-Sport fully loaded or

2. A new E61 520d M-Sport with some extras

Both at more or less the same price around ?55.000. I test drove both and liked them equally. Space is not that much of an issue, as I can fit everything needed quite easily.

Any suggestions?

 

I had the same issue:

New E91 330d fully loaded
Used E61 535d fully loaded (1 year and 20.000km)

I save 5000? and went with the E61 for the current reasons:

1. Engine (tomorrow i will have a 350hp car where you can only take 300hp from the 330d)
2. The weight of both cars is almost the same
3. The E61 has more confort and space
4. The depreciation of the E61 is slower than E91 (in 2 years the resale value will be higher with the E61).
5. The E61 give more status apperance.

I'm single with 24 years old, so the E91 suits me better but the reasons number 1 and 4 made my choice.
