Hello guys, newbie here.
I'm getting busy with a hard choice, at least for me. What to choose: an e91 330i with leather/navi/executive or an e61 523i with no extras. Somewhere this autumn i want to decide, but it gets me sleepless nights.
What to choose: the heart says 330i or the brain 523i

Hi,
523 with no extras sounds boring so if you dont need the added space and comfort, go e91.

I wanted to go with e91, I prefer smaller cars, but the larger space and added comfort of the e61 won me over.

However, the e61 is a bit "naked" without extras.

I would go for the 330, no doubt. It sounds very boring like tegel said with no equipment.

What about the 335i M-sport, you then get everything you really need as standard, like alcantara, and it will be a really nice car too.

A 335i M-Sport touirng with just Nav ticked would be great.

Definitely E91 330i. The E91 is only 1 year old model.

How are you going to use the car? How many in the family?

Would you consider second-hand (e.g. 1 year old)?

In the end, drive both and decide!

I agree - E91 330i for sure....., IF you do not need the comfort (?) and SPACE. Me personally before ordering the 525dA full options, really wanted to have the 330XD, but, since I really needed the space in work and for family I ' had' to take the E61 (which I do not regrett at all) - an E91 does not have any luggagespace (i relation to being a touring). Could not even fit the babywagon....its true!!!

Good luck with you choice!!!

Many Swedes taking part in this forum - nice!!! Any 'gatherings' in Sweden nowadays...?

As Marineutter said, is a 330i so uncomfortable, or is that just compared to an e61.

Thanks for your replies.

I had an E60 523i with non-run flat tyres. I changed to the non run flats them because I didn't like the ride quality on standard tyres.

Had an occasion to test drive an E90 325i recently and couldn't believe the lack of refinement and comfort compared to the 523i. Don't understand why, but the whole drivetrain seemed less refined and I thought the standard E90 suspension was too hard. So, from my experience, the E90 was less refined/comfortable than the E60.

I would have thought that a loaded 330i would be considerably more expensive that a bald 523i so do u not have some leeway with your budget to add some essential options to the 523i? And I'd do a deal at the start to have the run-flats changed.

I'm thinking of an E92 in September because my 523i has departed, but if I don't like the E92 I may go for another E60. And if I do go with the E92 I think I will definitely consider changing the run flats to non-run flats and look at either a tyre mousse or a spare wheel in the boot to keep afloat in case of a puncture. Even though there is no space for a spare wheel on the E92 (ala E90).
