E61 535xi Aftermarket Exhaust

For custom tuning, I know very little, though I do know that they've released a free version for anyone who wants to custom tune things, and the AP (AccessPort it's called) can hold many different maps, so I'd think you could make a map to your liking, if you're into that. Takes a few minutes only to switch maps.
Then there are guys who do custom maps for you to maximize the power output (or whatever goals you have I suppose) for a couple hundred dollars. They're getting a big following on the other forum: http://www.protuningfreaks.com/

Okay so we've got the exhaust installed and of course, I've got some pix and info for ya....
Started out by removing the cross member beneath the car
Next step was to mark where to cut the stock exhaust off.
This was definitely the most tedious part of the install. Cutting the exhaust was a pain. I'd recommend some kind of power cutting tool.
To mount the Dinan exhaust, it was necessary to relocate the exhaust hanger. This is VERY easy, as you simply need to remove one nut and move it over to the one seen here on the right. We kinda freaked out at first when we held the exhaust up to the vehicle the first time and saw that the hangers didn't match up. But of course, DINAN already had this figured out...
Next we removed the other exhaust hanger (nearest the driver wheel)
Now look at the difference with the DINAN in place...
Don't forget to put the vacuum plug on
After install, I have one main area that is rubbing, as we haven't yet broken in the system and worked it around a bit to get it to fit perfect....
That's my quick overview. I'll take some photos of the vehicle shortly, once she's washed up

I don't think any amount of "breaking in" or "working around" will remedy that. We just ground off a little bit of the brace as per Dinan instructions via phone discussion.

Yesterday I installed the Cobb Flash Tune. I am absolutely blown away by the performance gains. This was hands down the best investment I've ever made in a performance mod!
