This weekend I purchased an '08 E61 and I am STOKED!
I have a set of stock M5 wheels from a 2009 M5 and was so excited to put them on today. However after bolting them on and putting the car back on the ground, the fronts do not fit. After about 1/4 turn of the wheel, the tires hit the fender.
So my question is: does anyone know a way to fit them? Of course I could roll the fenders, but I don't want to do that. If I put the M Teknik Fenders and Front bumper on, will it fit?
Thanks so much for any feedback!
Here's a pic of the wheels (attached).

Well, since you're in the US - they won't fit. Unfortunately here in the US we ONLY got the E61 XI, and the offset for the OEM M5 wheels will be waaaaaay off. Second thing is if you have the stock tires for the M5 on there (255/45/19, I think), that is too wide for a non-M 5 series. The M5 front fenders are 10mm wider than ours ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)
Nice wheels BTW

Thanks so much for the insight. That's exactly what we found: the offset was not correct.
So then the next question is: which wheel sizes and offset will fit the vehicle?
This is the beginning of a project. First I am going to do an intake, then exhaust, then software. Also will be doing either a Prior Design Body Kit or the M-Tech kit. Haven't decided yet. So pumped on this car!

First: Welcome to the forum.
Now, as I recall (and I may be corrected) the Xi models have a +40 offset, where as the non AWD models have a +15 F and +22 R in most cases, depends on the wheels.
Lastly, don;t bother with the intake, no one makes one that actually produces power. Instead they all lose power due to heat loss, turns out the after market couldn't beat the Germans in the intake engineering. Instead contact Trinity Autosport (a respected vendor here and local) and get the RPI scoop, filter, and exhaust if you want to make power.

There is an EXHAUSTIVE thread on wheels that fit and such. Everything you could possibly ask is in that thread.
