i drove mine for 2 days while the pump failed, due to my work committment, i have to be there, so i chanced it. apart from the mudflap got grinded off 10mm by the road surface, i had no problem with it after replacing the pump myself..

that?s only what the original documents say ( or your BMW dealer if you bring the car to him with this fault ) ..
Maybe it is possible, that the rubber bellow gets damaged while driving without ait pressure ?

I am not sure if any one want me to do a write up with photos support like what i have done for the rear number plate light problem that i had a few months ago. it is not really hard to change the pump. should there be more than 10 member requested this. i shall then do it for the E61 nation.
