Hi guys,
not happened to me, but maybe interesting for the ones, which have this fault ..

A few days ago I rummaged in the BMW TIS system ... According BMW official documents the air shock strut has to be replaced after driving the car with faulty compressed air system ...

Regards Peter
Peter

i drove mine for 2 days while the pump failed, due to my work committment, i have to be there, so i chanced it. apart from the mudflap got grinded off 10mm by the road surface, i had no problem with it after replacing the pump myself..

When I saw that the title of this thread was droopy bottom, I expected to see a picture of an old woman, not an E61!
That's funny, I was picturing an old man!

Very common fault apparently. Happened to anyone else?
This might help with your "Droopy Bottom"!

A quick internet search under the heading of "Saggy Butt"! Will this address a problem YOU might have, or is it for a friend??

Hi Gary,
that?s only what the original documents say ( or your BMW dealer if you bring the car to him with this fault ) ..
Maybe it is possible, that the rubber bellow gets damaged while driving without ait pressure ?

I am not sure if any one want me to do a write up with photos support like what i have done for the rear number plate light problem that i had a few months ago. it is not really hard to change the pump. should there be more than 10 member requested this. i shall then do it for the E61 nation.
Reviving a slightly old thread, but I'd love to see a write up on this. Sounds like I might want to do some exploring this weekend to see if I can locate the pump and inspect it for any splitting hoses! Any help regarding what needs to come off to access the pump appreciated!
