Question Does post LCI model have same tailgate as pre LCI?

Sorry - noddy question

I have the post LCI 530d m sport model and have just smashed the tailgate in by reversing into a stationary truck - don't ask

The car is 10 years old and so am considering a breakers yard replacement tailgate rather than a new one as it will be less that the stupidly high excess I have on my insurance. I need a whole new one (I think) as the impact was in the middle and has twisted the whole thing with the outside edges bent out. It still opens and closes fine but looks a mess.

Checking this - https://5series.net/info/2008_LCI_Detailed_Changes.pdf I think the actual tailgate (i.e. the metal bit) is the same for all E61's so I could get a 2004 or 2010 one, swap my 'bits' over and everything would fit just fine; just need a respray.

Just checking!!

Also welcome another other suggestions......

I just looked up part numbers for E61 and LCI E61 tailgates, both part numbers are identical.
