Mr. Bychl who is a past car racer and now owner of a BMW dealership here wrote in article in BMW Magazine about E60/E61 that pre-LCI M-Sport cars had their suspension very hard and they were making it softer on requests quite often. LCI cars however were fine. Yours is 2008 so you should be OK but I understand that bad roads make the experience unpleasant.
