Default Daydreaming

Could you swap an n62 4.8l v8 from an x5 into an 06 530xi touring? They're both x-drive, but could the 530's drivetrain handle the v8 power? Also, would the swap be remotely possible without completely re-fabricating the entire car?

Uff, never mind, watched the m539 restorations videos on that engine, no thanks, if it's even possible.

There are much better swap options to do

Also, not looking to lower the suspension or convert to rwd. A stick shift 4wd wagon is my ideal configuration, because I drive in the snow a lot. So if a v8 would overpower the xdrive of the 530, I'm not interested. Was just daydreaming.

Many people make a lot of power with the N54 engine in the 535, so the drivetrain should handle the extra power no problem.

Well that's exactly what I was talking about. It's even the same color as my car. Looks like it came from the factory. Come on powerball....
