Default Cobb V3, Cylinder 3 misfire.

Hi everyone! Happy holiday!

I just installed the Cobb V3 a week ago. Love the power! but recently started to get this message Cylinder 3 misfire. Straight 3 days already! Thinking to change my Spark Plug but any idea if I should go with OEM or some performance one? If performance plugs, any recommendation? I will be doing the charge pipe and intercooler later. Many thanks
!

Try switching one of the ignition coils from the 3 cylinder to another cylinder. If the misfire is then on that cylinder, then you need new ignition coils. Thats what happened to me anyway...

Do this, but also replace plugs with new BMW or Bosche. How many miles, have you done carbon cleaning?

I did the carbon cleaning at 48000km (30000miles), now I am at 83000km (52000mile)

Is it time to replace both?

I just did, at 78k miles. If you don't want to spend money all new coils, do what was suggested and swap the coil to a different cyclinder. Try that when you replace plugs as you have to pull them out anyway.

Let me get my next error code and I will swap the coil to different cylinder.

Thanks!

Agree with the message above.
Had a misfire in cylinder 6 as well. When swapping the coils noticed cyl 6 one was not very tight. After swap, no more misfires, so no need to buy coils or plugs.

The Bosch OEM plugs are fine and no need to go the NGK route unless you're heavily modified. Hopefully you changed your plugs at the 45k mile mark since that's the recommended service interval for the N54 plugs.

Not sure but I don't think the valve cover leaking would cause oil in the cylinders. Perhaps the valve stems would.
