hello,

There are 2 cable sets coming from the CID Display in E61 Business Radio(without navi), one with data(LVDS 9 pin) and the other one with electrical supplies etc.
What I would like to do is to extend the LVDS cable. The problem is I do not know exactely what wires to use and how to twist them and screen them from one another. I already asked by BMW, but they say they do not know how!?
I also ask them, if there is another place in the car where such wires/cable is used, but the answer was NO.
But I cannot imagine that this is so hard to manufacture.

Would anyone of you know how to do this?

I need this extension to connect a video interface with the CID. Well, I already connected the video interface and it works, however I had to place it directly behind the CID which makes it intricate to always have to take the CID out whenever I need to make something with the video module. I would rather placed it in the CD changers' place.

best regards
simon
