The least one can do is make some sort of effort to speak/write the language of the place you are in, doesn't matter what that language is or if it's a real or virtual place.
I'm sure you agree with that even if you don't feel as strongly about it as I do.

I just think it's immensely disrespectful is all.

And I suspect that since we have some E61 members here from France and Belgium, he might even get an answer to his question.
No need to feel offended just because you don't speak other languages...

This forum is not a physical place... It is a virtual place that spans the world. There are people from all over the place here. There is even an Hong Kong E60 sub-Forum made by the members here. Regardless of what you think or feel, he got his answer because that is what we do. We give and receive help. Throughout the entire forum there are people speaking in their native tongue (some in their second or third language), should they stop too?
I think it is fine. If someone can respond back in his/her dialect, so be it. If not, I guarantee someone will try. I don't speak any of the languages (besides english) that were brought up in this Topic, yet, I tried to respond. I say that to say, if you feel excluded, join in. It is no big deal.
One big happy family

Agree with Tonymac - I would post a question in Swedish on this forum I would of course have understand that it would limit the number of responses, but it would not be done as a disregard of English as Lingua Franca.
Although - I would have started with an excuse that the post will not be in English, as a respect to other forum members.
