We've got the same one, and no trimming needed with ours either. I do find that it's a perfect fit though, and if you've got stuff in there while driving, sometimes it shifts back a bit, and when you open the hatch, I make a point of pushing it back towards the front. It maybe moves an inch or so sometimes.

PS You know there are spots for cutouts at the front of it (where it meets the back seats) so that you can still access the D rings for tying things down, I presume.
