can e61 front calipers be used on rear?

Also, you're in the touring section not the sedan section. You might get more help over there.

I doubt you can easily do that. Bolt pattern is different, plus the brake fluid pressures will also be different.

while i'd like to upgrade to m5 oem i dont want to have to upgrade my stock sport wheels.

what other alternatives are there for that dinky rear oem caliper?

in this case i'm more interested in making the car look good than actually increasing the performance.

Perhaps painting them red? ;)
