Calling RD Sport sway bar owners - your settings
Just bought a set of the RD Sport sway bars, and was in touch with them as to which setting they recommended (he asked me which tires I'm running, and I said the stock 245/40-18's). I don't have any other suspension mods, other than the recently installed 20mm spacers in the rear (though I didn't think of mentioning that to him).
I got this back:
I would start on soft front and rear, as this will be noticeably stiffer than stock. The holes farthest from the torsion bar itself are the softest setting. You can then see how we dialed in more oversteer to compensate for the car’s engineered understeer and then adjust based on roll-reduction needs.
.
.
.
Just curious if everyone here also is running that setting?
If I wanted it a bit firmer after, would you move both front and rear to the middle holes, or some other combination?

Middle hole front & rear on mine. Has helped alleviate body roll somewhat and haven't experienced and drastic under or over steer, but I don't push it that hard in the dry or wet. Still tempted to try the KW VR3 but the cost keeps me clear for the time being. Let us know your observations if you go with the recommendations from the second post. Also, I'm still running the original 17" wheels.

Thanks all. I'll be getting them installed at a shop.
To adjust them afterwards, do I need any special tools? How hard is it to do? I can change spark plugs, so have a bit of mechanical skills, but nothing too fancy.
Can I do it with rhino ramps or you need a lift?

FWIW, I had asked the question from them too, and they just got back to me (owner Federico). If I wanted it firmer, he said to keep it consistent and go with middle for both, to keep the neutral setup they've worked into their bars.
I'll leave it soft for the winter, since we drive the car on wet and sometimes snowy roads up to the local mountains for skiing, and then in the summer, I'll play with different settings.

So I just had them installed this morning, and in the 15 minute commute back to work, though I didn't get a chance to push the car much, it certainly feels awesome!
I asked the installers to put them on soft for front and rear, as RD suggested, but the tech said the rear end link he thought would rub for sure in that setting, so we put it in the middle.
Looks like someone else had run into a similar issue, though he was lowered, which may have exxarcerbated the problem:
Because of that, and RD's suggestion that if I was to stiffen up the rear, I should keep the front at the same setting, I put the front to the middle hole as well. Going to be driving up the twisty mountain roads tonight, so I'll give them a good test.

We put both front and rear in the middle, for the reasons I explained above. Yes, I have the stock suspension. On smooth roads it is wonderful and really has improved the cornering. It is firmer on rough roads in the city, as expected, but nothing that bothers me.
There is a chance I may be putting them up for sale shortly as unfortunately my car was in an accident and I might be selling it, so I would be going back to stock.
