Is this "normal"?

It isn't very noticeable but is there. It doesn't exist at about 1600 rpm and is gone by 1800 rpm.

Is this just a characteristic of this engine or something that needs a visit to the dealer.

First Posted on E60 discussion, but maybe a touring owner can comment...
