Hi guys,

I recently had this error, wich I think is related with the auto leveling suspension of the E61 touring model.

Some investigation revealed that I can replicate the error by loading some weight into the back: my 2 boys (aged 9 and 5) and some additional kilos in the trunk are enough.

Any of you had this issue ? Was it a quick fix at the dealer, or they spent days on it ?

Thanks in advance.

I had a level failure error on my May 2004 Touring. Needed a new sensor, which in true BMW fashion meant another two days off the road to await parts (the old one was apparently corroded)

If this is done check the level very carefully - I had to take mine back to another dealer for resetting as had been aligned with one side 2 inches higher than the other.

Good luck
