Auto gearbox oil
Hi you bimmerfolks!
When you ask a bmw workshop, if we should change the autogearbox oil, then they say that ther`s no need to think about that. But I asked a autogearbox specialist, and he said that every 50t km the oil should be changed! My car has now 196tkm on the clock, so maybe its time to get new oil?
They also change the sump, it has the filter integrated!

From what I've read around the internet, it's normal to change the auto transmission's oil at about 80.000 km (not miles). I haven't talked to a autobox specialist so I can't back this number up. I just read it somewhere.
On every bmw forum I've read, owners say the same thing: change the oil in the gearbox, don't follow BMW's "lifetime" policy.
BMW say the oil is "lifetime" but I think they use this term for marketing purposes only.
Mine has only 120.000 km and i will change in the next 10.000.
