Ah, Got it. Is this a good link explaining them?

Those two from Dinan are both strut bars then, from their description. First one says though that it doesn't fit XI sedans.

I think you're confusing "strut bar" with "sway bar"... different objects entirely. The strut bar is what goes in the engine bay to brace the suspension tower points, thereby making the body structure more rigid... the sway bars go below the car, to help with suspension alignment, over/understeer etc.

My Ride: BMW 535xi wagon. Monaco Blue/Dakota Brown interior, M Package
After much searching, I've very excited to have found a pic of a 535xi (not a wagon, but as far as fitment goes, same thing I believe) with the 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 tires I've going on and on about.... looks EXACTLY as I pictured it in that it reduces the fender gap in a non-lowered car a bit, and preserves a bit more sidewall for compliance vs the 35F/30R aspect ratio. MAN, I can't wait to put these on in a few days.

The steering wheel literally shuddered over uneven bumps, and it really made me feel like I was driving a poorly built car. Then on a hunch I purchased a Cusco strut bar from Modbargains... Oh my god... what a difference. It's like having a new car... outside of the faster turn-in and flatter corning (I don't drive this car sporty at all, just straight boring highway miles) the steering wheel feels SOLID, the structure doesn't shake, it's an incredible improvement. Thanks to Gilbert at Modbargains for suggesting such a great accessory... best $200 I have EVER spent on a car.
There are still people on this forum who would go out of their way to start an argument on how pointless a strut bar is, and how anyone who fits one to his car is either stupid, naive, some kind of a moron or just a helpless victim of the mod-marketing bug
Its good to see that there are also people who still trust their own judgement and are ready to make their own experience

More Pics Please! What tires did you get? How is the ride?
