I just checked out the BMW ETK parts catalog.
For Europe, there is only the choice of LHD for the 530xi/xd models.
I would say that this just about confirms it!

Well I guess seeing as BMW sell their saloons on the whole RWD/front steer principle it goes against virtually everything they stand for.
But then if that's the case, they shouldn't make them at all.

If I'm honest, I'm more an Audi fan than a BMW fan. Before getting the 530d we were after a 3.0TDi A6 quattro. Unfortunately/fortunately they were just too expensive at the time (second hand) as they were slightly newer.
Had we been able to secure a good deal on one, I probably wouldn't have looked at BMW at all. I'm pleased I did though.
